Today, I was most interested to see what green bloggers were going to say about Earth Day today, and it was pretty much what I expected – mixed emotions. We should be eco-conscious every day and many made that a point and I agree.
That is not to say that Earth Day is not a good thing, which no one argued. It is a great thing, it is a time that we can all come together in acknowledgement, to celebrate what we have been doing and what we can do to become more eco-conscious. It can also serve as a day of stark recognition of all that can go wrong if we do not act.
In today’s Concierge.com newsletter, Peter J. Frank listed Travel’s Most Endangered Places, similar to the world’s most endangered coastlines that I blogged about a while back.
Of the many places at stake – the habitat of the polar bear Northern Manitoba Coast, Canada.

And, Go Green Travel Green Blog marked a series, “25 Days to Green Travel” and today they posted photos, a few that were nothing short of heartbreaking.

At the end of the day, as long as we keep learning new ways to go green and putting those ways into action, we are on the right track.
