After he and my mom have spent more than 25 years supporting me, my brother and my sister through Catholic school, figure skating lessons, hockey games, track meets, soccer games, rugby games and college educations (including frequent drives between New Hampshire, Boston and Philadelphia) – this weekend, it was our time to celebrate our dad, and his retirement as an electrician from Local 103 I.B.E.W.
So this Saturday, we made the trek to the Union Hall in Dorchester for the annual retirement party.
